Hey all. My 3 year old came in earlier and twisted some knobs and kicked on some pedals. It was the most epic, huge, synth, lead guitar tone ever. And DEAD QUIET when you aren't playing. How might you ask? That 2203 preamp I put there as a place holder has a bias trim similar to a fuzz and it silences everything below a certain noise but never cuts you off. It's like having the best noise gate I ever wanted. This is wildly unexpected. A place holder no longer, maybe??

Too useful of a tool and again, works better than most noise gates for this application. I am stunned.

There can be a lot of fun had when you forget all the "rules" you know and approach the situation from the viewpoint of somebody who's never even heard of guitar.

Most of the time it tends not to work out but when it does, it's great!

It's great giving kids that musical experience. It's enriching their life. Good on you brother! I remember when my boy messed around with my rig once man he was singing the blues for days after I caught him red handed.

I let my youngest play one of my beater acoustics when he was young...5ish i think.

Well i would leave him alone and i would come back and he would be playing the strings and tuning them. I just thought he was trying to be like me, but was worried he would pop one and hit his eye. Turns out, he was actually tuning it by ear.
