Just saw this tonite......not sure if this is a double post.
But man he is a COOL MUTHA! :thumbsup:
Liked his Surf Stories....and his general interview.
Showed some pics of his new book and he is a "HORROR BUFF" (So Am I!!) :D
Seems like a super Cool dude!! :rock:

Probably one of the better shows yet.
One of my idols when I was a teen....he just seems so cool to me. :yes:

i like kirk hammett myself, and enjoyed the episode with him on TMS .

remember guys most of the time when you look for reasons to hate someone, it is really because you wish you could be that person. although i really cant blame the haters, because who doesn't want millions of dollars, tons of signature gear including a new amp by MR mike fortin, as well as all the women someone could possibly ever want :rock:
 
Yeah man......he seemed really cool. Would love to party/hang with him. :rock:
 
I like kirk, cool dude from the interviews i have watched, i like most of his work and consider him one of my fav players from the 80s and 90s.

and that was the BADDEST shit played to date! :rock:
 
He used to surf at my main surf break here in HI and nobody really seemed to recognize him much. I didnt at first but I doubletaked because I knew I had seen him somewhere and I figured it out in about a minute. Since then I've seen him there tons of times. Also I was one of the 2 painters, it was mainly me, who painted his house. I did meet him but in the contract we were not supposed to mention metallica or talk to him about that. My boss at the time was a total dick so I abided by that and didnt say anything to Kirk about Metallica, I only talked to him about the house and the work being done. But with that said, he was a very cool guy, he has a pretty hot wife and he's got a couple of sons. He had a huge book out on the porch of Tabs for cover tunes, the book was like 2 inches thick. He would go out for a jog just about everyday that I was there. He was really mellow and he drives a very modest car actually. Although he had a 67 GTO in the garage, I will say that, pretty cool but very modest compared to what he could afford I'm sure.
 
Since "Some Kind of Monster" came out on DVD, I have a different perspective on the personalities in Metallica. Kirk seemed like a cool guy. I don't love his playing, but I could hang with him.
 
imo Kirk is as good as a guy can get. Pretty down to earth at least from what it looks like.

I'd like to hang out with all of them actually. Hetfield seems to be a cool guy too, I'd love to talk about life with him. Lars imo is a cool cat, very very intelligent guy, a bit of a rockstar but I don't mind that. I'm sure a conversation with lars can be very interesting.

Rob seems like a great guy too, and I'd LOVE to hang out with Newsted, he seems to be just right.
 
Ive bashed the hell out of his playing but Ive had the chance to meet and hang with the guy and he was nice as could be. I think that hes a cool dude who made millions sucking at guitar lol.
 
i met him at Chelsea Guitars during my first trip to NYC and he was very kind, shared a cab uptown with him.

Actually, he plays way better than me...but, then again, most folks do. :lol: :LOL:

I've never gotten the impression that he's not anything but a nice guy....respect for that
