Hi guys,

I picked up a used Les Paul that needed some TLC. Some of the frets were dinged up pretty bad, therefore I had a shop level and crown the frets. Well now the frets are a little too low for my taste, so I'm considering a refret. Which fret wire do you prefer? I'm leaning towards Dunlop 6105.

I had a Les Paul redone and I let the luthier talk me out of 6100. He used actual vintage Gibson fret wire that he said would last and be "correct".

6105 is a lil narrower. I have both on different guitars. 6100 is pretty big. I prefer the 6105.

Whatever size you get, make sure it's Jescar stainless!
My tech talked me into this stuff a few years back and it just never wears out, and it's insanely slippery, feels just incredible! Fantastic tone too

Definitely do stainless whatever you do. Jescar like everyone has been saying
