I love the Renegade but, don't need the swichable power tubes, 16 watt, or reverb. Could you make a Renegade with out these features for a lot less? I think less is more for better tone. I'd love a new 1x12 renegade combo for $699 instead of $1149

I can't help you with a scaled down Renegade, but if you like the Tweaker stuff, the Tweaker 40 combo will be closer to that price.

I like el34's best for clean and crunch. I guess the tweaker 40 will be the way to go but I thought a less expensive renegade would be cool too.

Did someone named Eganter just say TWEAKER 40. Any updates on release date Ian?

Tweaker 40 sounds awesome but, Egnater isn't talking much on this one. If I see it at the NY amp show?? I'll get back with info.

Yea, I know. I'm really waiting for this. It was supposed to be tentatively the Spring. Spring has past and we are headed into summer. It shows up at NAMM etc, but still no product. Soon I hope.

Cool Jamme, gentleman said it was shipping in August. Anyone know what $$$ we are talking?

I'd be tempted by the Rebel 20 Halfstack if I was looking for a lower-cost option. I think the features on it are great except for not having two channels. It's hard to say whether you'd miss some of the tone-shaping options like 'presence' and 'density.' You won't have a reverb, which can cost a pretty penny to rectify, but if you already have one on your pedalboard, it might not even be an issue. Pretty darn good features for $800, says I.
