I generally dont put reverbs on inserts. I'll use an aux send from the computers mixer out of the hardware, and then use an aux input to return the reverb. That way you can send any tracks you want out to it via the same send. That way you have a dry track and you can blend how wet it is via the aux return track, and of course how much you send into it as you may not want all your tracks as wet. Make sense?Digital Jams":fab4d said::|::QBB:
Like a drop and insert type thing, having the signal leave and have it go through the rack and back into your recording software?
SgtThump":46404 said:Don't most of the Lexicon stuff have "dropouts" when changing patches? For that reason alone, I'd never consider one for a guitar rig. Now recording is another thing.
I had one of the cheaper Lexicon units (newer than these, though) and it sounded awesome.

yup the lexicon boxes are whores to use live because of the lagtime between patches. I have a lexicon PCM80 and it feels like a year and a day passes when trying to switch between presets. that said, the lexicon boxes like the ones Scott is talking about work great in a studio and if you are going to use it live, they work best as a single effect that can be switched in and out of the signal. I would not count on them for midi switching.

Jack Luminous":13252 said:The LXP-1 sounds good on guitar but is not worth more than $150. I'd haggle both for $300 as they look to be in good shape. They're also very usable in the studio, very warm effect boxes. You need the Lex MRC remote or some kind of sysex computer program to access all the internal parameters. You can use about only 10% of the box from the front panel.
