Lifting 4x12 off the ground (not with another cab)?

Any of you guys lift a 4x12 off the ground with something other than stacking on another cab? What are you using to do that?

I use to hate what that did to the sound of the lifted cab but I tried it again recently (trying to actually hear the sound coming off a straight cab) and I'm liking it now for some reason.

Im pretty sure this is the right answer. I've always preferred slants but I somewhat stupidly bought an old 8-ohm Uberkab, which is a straight.

Yep, slants for live use. Straight sitting direct on the floor for recording.

Those are good, but not as good as the hard-to-find NOS pre-64 buttermilk crates. With the "Buttermilk Boy" logo.

Never had this problem. I've only gigged with full stacks and 8x10s for the last 20 years.
