So I bought a G50. $399 at GC. my quick, dragnet style review:
Good Stuff:
1) uses 2 AA batteries on the reciever, up to 8 hours.
2) cable from transmitter to guitar is short but not too short - but not a freakin' jumprope like most.
3) reciever has an actual clip on it that works, not a little wire thing that pops out the third gig you use, but a nice clip.
4) wire attaches to underside instead of top of transmitter, stays out of your way.
5) sounds like a cable IMHO. Can also switch a 'cable simulator' that most likely is just capacitance to imitate cables.
6) has a tuner out along with regular out. NICE!
Bad stuff:
1) If you get around a corner or out of line of sight, it drops signal. This SUCKS... my old Sennheiser would work through walls, this won't. I'm curious how it's going to work if you get out in the dance floor or get some people between you and the reciever.
So far I'm digging it, will test it at an outdoor gig tomorrow night. Should be interesting!
