Ian and Bruce,

I know it's been discussed in the past that the bright and bass boost switches can be modded to only affect one channel of a module. I was wondering if you guys could clue me in as to how to get the Bass boost on my Bman module to only be active on the A channel, I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks guys.

You can't do that on the bass switch but, you can change the relative sound between the two channels. For example, let's say you like the amount of bass on the A channel in the boost 1 position but it is too much on the B side. You can reduce the bass on the B side so when you switch the boost on, it is the right amount for both channels. Just a for instance. You may have different needs but could possibly use the same solution? Make sense?

That's pretty much it. When I get the A side like I want it, with the bass boost on 1, channel B is a little too boomy for what I'm going for. This is really just recently coming to light now that I'm using the power section of my Marshall JMP to drive my cabinet. (with help from your loop level shifter, I might add  ) I've got the rig sounding much fuller now, but Channel B on the Bman is a just a little boomy.

I have the exact same "problem" on my SL module.
The B channel is boomier than the A channel. Bruce, is there a DIY way of doing what you suggest?
Also (a little off topic), is there a way to reduce overall gain in the SL?
That, in conjunction with the bass mod, would make it perfect!
Kristian.

Did you try some lower gain tubes like a 12AT7 or 12AU7? That might be a quick, temporary change.

I haven´t, no. Sounds like a good idea for the quick fix.
As for the bass-mod, any ideas out there?
Bruce? Ian?
Kristian.
