So where in Germany are Deizels made and/or sold? I am going to Frankfurt and Munich in October and wanted to drool.

On the Diezel website, they might list all the music dealers that carry Diezel's in those cities, but be assured that Diezels are everywhere in Germany.

The HQ is located in Bad Steben, but it is a rule that you must take me there with you if you get permission to visit Diezel HQ.

Diezel HQ is in Bad Steben, from both Frankfurt and Munich its a 3 to 3.5 hour drive. At Frankfurt there is a Diezel dealer called Musik Schmidt http://www.musik-schmidt.de. Also in the wider Frankfurt area is Acys guitar lounge http://www.acys-lounge.de/2006/ who sells Diezel too, thats around a 40 min drive from Frankfurt. But also here in germany Diezels usually sell fast and are not often in stock, i'd call the dealer first before driving there.

When you come to Munich shoot me a pm and I'll show you around. We have Musik Shop here as the primary Diezel dealership - the first ever to my knowledge, and they always have all the amps there. :)

Sweet! That would be really cool. I think we plan on doing some castle hunting around Fussen while we're there. I played an Einstein a few weeks ago and feel in love. I was hoping to AB it with a Herbert while I'm there. I was I could buy one there and not pay a ton of $$$ to get it back to the US and have it changed to 110V.

Awesome. Let's do that. Shouldn't be a problem to A/B them, but I'll give the shop a call to make sure if you let me know when you guys arrive.
They're about the same price as they are in the US from what I understand though, so the "buying in Germany cheap, and bringing it back to the US" ain't gonna happen...

They really cost that much over there? I'm suprised by that. I knew I wouldn't be able to buy one "cheap", and I realized shipping it would outweigh any savings. I just figured they were "cheaper" over there. I do want to A/B them at least, because we only have the one Einstein locally. We'll be in Munich Oct. 13-18th I believe. I'll get a in touch with you as it gets closer.

That was before the US $$$$ lost 50% of it's value against the Euro - the US Dollar just hit a new all time low against the EUR btw. :( But nevermind, Munich is great. You'll love it! You should also see Berlin if you can - skip the castles! :D

@moronmountain:
Alright. :)
A Herbert will cost you about 2.9k Euro over here, just to give you an idea.

Berlin for the clubs? We have clubs over here, but no castles, so I have to see them. This is my first trip to the Father Land, so I want to take in as much history as possible. I tried doing some lineage research on my ancestors, but haven't come up with much. How common is the last name of Leinenbach over there? The best I could tell, the original name was Leinbach.
