So, this is the crappy camera pic that I already posted in the User Gallery. Better ones to follow. I nevertheless opened this topic to track my rig building process over time, some of you might enjoy this. Next project will be a simple but effective fx rack and pedalboard, my Silvermachine Wah is the next piece and currently being overhauled by MSD. Following will be another combo to complete a stereo rig, probably a Mark IV or V to complement the Einstein and two or three more guitars.
The Einstein as the main piece came to me unexpectedly today though: I've been in love with this amp ever since I played the first prototype at our HCAF Ampfest in Hanover, Germany around 2003/2004 (?) and at Olaf's some later time. Life always got in the way of having enough money lying around to actually buy one though, even had to sell my Mesa Road King Head and Diezel 4x12. When I realized last week (very late, I know...) that the combo got discontinued I jumped on Ebay to see if there was one offered. Law and behold, this beauty was for sale, exactly the model I wanted (older version with closed back, Ch1 modes footswitchable), great shape and I got a good deal I could afford from a class a dude who even had the amp serviced and updated by Peter not long ago. Today it arrived and I feel like the luckiest man alive, as I finally got MY amp after so many years. It even comes with a pink (!!!!) switch custom built by Olaf: Couldn't be happier.
So: Thanks Peter and Olaf for turning me onto this gem and building these certainly most finest pieces of equipment!
