The CCV was delivered this morning. Haven't dug into yet, but my day will probably be spent in the Testosteroom. Here's a few quick photo's of the bitch along with some good company. As soon as my wife gets up, I will air it out and put these Scumbacks to work. Mark said he was waiting on the back plates, but it is pretty cool as is.

Mark, if you are around....thanks bro. It made it safe and sound.

Pretty cool shit!!! Cant wait to get mine, but what is the deal with the backplate? Is it seperate from the chassis, being mounted on by the nuts from the input jacks? Is that what holds on the backplate? You said that he is sending you the backplate I read, just wondering how that will work.

Awesome!
Like to hear what you think.
Been following your story on this amp for a while Steve. ;)

Dan

damn !! it looks wicked !! well seems like you have a marsha amp .. so what do you think between the cameron to the marsha?

Good stuff man.... enjoy that amp....soooooo many tones inside that box... glad you got it and welcome aboard! I'm in the studio tracking my bands new cd as I type this and ccv. Sounds so damnnn good! Try it in a big live room if you can....makes the room sing.....

WHAT????????????

Got CHS now......(Can't hear shit)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, the amp is awesome, no doubt. Haven't even began to explore all the tweaks yet - too busy playing. Trying several different cabs and speaker combinations to see which gives me movement. So far, the Naked wins with the 2-H55 / 2-H75 Scum cross. Didn't care for the old Greenbacks. The Scum M's aren't totally doing it for me either. I think a combination of H30/V40's would work well.

Anyway, my wife is up my ass right now for changing the orientation of all the pictures in the house. Some came out of level. And, I was even out in the man cave!

@HopkinWFG - the CCV and Marsha are two totally different sounding amps. I like them both.

@Pfapin05 - remove the outlet jack washers/nuts and set the backplate on. There may be adhesive. Reinstall nuts. But, I will just leave it off. The handwritten stuff adds a little originality to it. The front and backplates get printed on and allows to to use one chassis for various amp, features, options.

Going back in.......

Thanks dude. Big room, shit, I think I will roll it outside. I can hear the mosque off in the distance when they do the prayer call 5 times a day. I may send them back a reply this evening.....

This full on CCV is so much different than the Snake Bite that I got from Kurt. I may miss work for a few days.... :D

I need a Cameron cab to go with it.........if anyone talks to Mark.

Steve

I kinda like it without the back plate and I love that it says made for Steve. Awesome.

9 months to get this amp....but was worth the wait

Hey, wait a minute. Wonder if there is anything to be inferred about the production of a Cameron CCV and the gestation period for a newborn?

Congratulations, I too have been following your quest for the Cameron sound...

Anyway how do you feel it compares to the top amps in your collection: Bogner's, Marsha, etc in terms of versatilty and sound in general

Excellent!! Glad it worked out!!!

Thanks dude.....

@Nico - its not like anything else I have. Not to wave the Cameron flag or anything or make some random endorsement, but there is nothing I have ever played to compare it to. Its got the bottom end of an Uberschall and upper-mids that blend and cut through through like no other. The top end is not piercing, but the amp, even with all the gain you give it will not saturate or clip out the top end. Its got an organic tone that covers a lot of territory and I am not sure if it was meant to sound like anything else on the market. To me it doesn't. To others it might. This is one reason I am liking the amp so much. When I want something like no other, the CCV fits the bill. You can play this thing for hours and chest thumping volumes and still not get ear fatigue as it doesn't throw ice picks at you.

Steve

LQQK at those amps it's moving in with! I can't think of a better place to do comparisons with similar styled amps. (anxious to revisit that in a few months) CONGRATs man....
