Looking for a way to incorporate loop/channel switching

I have a Mod50 and an old ADA midi pedal. I'm looking to create some patches utilizing the modules on their own and in combination with various effects. With the 2 loops on the head not being switchable, what do I need to make this work? Something like a GCX guitar audio switcher? Or maybe this? :

I'm looking for something basic. I don't have a huge rack of stuff I'm looking to use. :D

Thanks....

I have a GRX4 mounted under my pedal board and use it in the serial loop with a MXR Smartgate, Carbon Copy and Line6 MM4. Works great, I've got reverb on my amp so that takes up the parallel loop.

Should be able to do it with a GCX as well.

...and you're using a midi pedal to access all your sounds?

I have one of those too. Yes you run midi into it and create your own patches etc. Are you trying to use the MOD50 and the ADA in the same rig or what?

Yup, Axess MFC5. I actually rebuilt the board today with new pedals for a gig on Tuesday. Be the first time in almost 2 years that I'll get to use my Mod50. I should get some clips tomorrow after I get some of the cables debugged (stupid George L's).

Here is the previous incarnation.

I have the midi pedal from ADA. I'm just looking for options on using the Mod50's loops within patches that I plan on creating.

What effects will you be using?

Mostly just delay and maybe some reverb. I have a Nova Delay that I haven't messed around with yet.

The ADA pedal will work fine it's just hard to get on a pedal board. I use one for my home practice rig.

My new board that I wired up yesterday still has the GRX4 underneath with a MXR Smartgate in loop 1, loop 2 is a MM4 and loop 3 is a MXR Carbon Copy all in the serial loop of my Mod50. Signal chain is Mod50 loop send to Strobostomp --> GRX4 -->GRX4 out A to Mod50 loop return. This way I can still tune silently.

Going to bust this rig out at Pappacitos this afternoon for a little Cinco De Mayo fun. Be the first time in about 1.5 years I haven't gone direct with a modeler. Modules are VX and EG5 and we get to use the big PA since it's an outdoor gig so there will be Egnater everywhere :) 4 1x18" subs with 1500watts each and 2 15"+horn tops with 1250 watts each, I going to try and knock some enchiladas off plates with the kick drum

The pedal board is a Puma Board that I has made custom to match my Egnater.

Well the easiest way is to just put the effect in the loop and turn it off when not using it. It can not get any easier than that and unless you are planning on having multiple programs requiring tons of different settings, that's what I would do. I have my effects on all the time.

Depends on what you want. Do you want a pedal board or a rack. If rack I would actually look at the RJM switcher first then the GCX. If you only want a pedal board then the GRX4/MFC5 combo is the best.

Last night was interesting. Lesson learned- don't introduce a new rig with new sounds without rehearsing first.
