Has anyone tried any SS power amps with the M4? I currently use PV 50/50 (love the EL84s) but the weight is killing me. How about Rocktron Velocity? Or back to tubes with Mesa 20/20?

I'd hold out until NAMM and see if Egnater announces anything.

Supposedly a 1u 30/30 in the works. Don't know how far along though...

I have been using a Mesa 20/20 with my M4 for a couple of years and I love it. I even own a VHT 50-2-50 that is currently sitting on the shelf.....and the 20/20 is pretty light too!!!

I'd love to have a lower-wattage power amp (or an option for running at a lower wattage). In my house, the RT2/50 is just barely off idle, and the M4 master is down, too.

I guess I could run it through my Weber Mass to get the tubes cooking a little.

I use the 20/20 in my M4 rack and love it for this application (can't be too loud, don't need EL34-ish "cranked Marshall" tones).

I'm running an M4 with a mesa 20/20 through an H&K red box classic direct to house for live applications. At home I run it into a rebel 112x. Of course I only use 1 of the 2 channels on the mesa and alternate them. It would be nice to run stereo and use both channels but I have not tried it yet. I keep the mesa's presence maxed and volume at 12 o'clock. I get all the volume I could possibly want in a live setting. I cannot imagine needing more power! In case it helps, I play with a 7 piece band and use IEM's. I love love love the mesa...bought it used on ebay for $599 in September.
