Looking for recent old post about amp noise preamp tube vs. bad amp control pot

I've tried to search all over for this post and couldn't find it. It was a post from the past 2 months or so troubleshooting amp noise and there was a discussion about preamp tubes causing it vs. a bad amp control pot and one of the respondents had a bad amp control pot cause this a few times on his amp.

I recently went thru this. Amp started making noise and it was right after turning the volume/gain control. Swapping preamp tubes didn’t help so I opened it up and started poking around with a chopstick with the amp ON. Once I poked the ground lug on the gain pot I heard a pop or something. All I did was apply some pressure to the little board that the lugs are secured to. That made it quiet again so I left it and it’s been fine since. I should replace the pot someday.
