Tomorrow I am talking delivery of a 101b with KT88 (thanks Nate). I was shopping for an OS2x12 and stubbled on a deal for a 6l6 Shiva head w/ verb. I may pick that up tomorrow too.,.

I had the 6l6 version back in '98 and read too much into how awesome the EL34 was and sold in to get one. Long story short, I prefer the 6l6 version. Do I need a 101b and a Shiva?

The simple answer is, why not? :rock:
 
I didn't need both. I sold the 20th Ann. Shiva after extensively A/B'ing with the 20th Ann. Ecstasy. Congrats on the new amp.
 
I loved it when I had the original shiva and the 101b. Great 1 -2 punch. The Shiva has way better cleans then any XTC on the market and the OD is smoother then anything you'll find on the xtc. Then you'll have the xtc holy grail Blue Channel (The blue on the 101b is the best of them all so enjoy!) and the Red for leads.
