Anyone familiar with LOPO speaker cabinets? I have seen them briefly mentioned here before and find myself looking for opinions on them, one way or another. I am considering replacing my Marshall 4X12 with two 2X12's instead and was looking at their 2X12's that have the convertible back. Thanx.

Saw a 4x12 cabinet of theirs opened up... quality and workmanship with the cabinet looked great I am surprised more people do not use them here especially considering their price and still being made in the USA...

I think the problem with the 2x12 cabinets is they are smaller than the others out there...

Their 2x12 Signature Series cab is 30"L x 20"H and 14"D.
I had a Signature Series before my current setup of two 2x12 Convertibles.
I opted to downsize to the two Convertibles (27"L x 15"H x 14"D )for easier transportation and more flexibility in my setup.
The smaller Convertibles are still the same 14" depth.

I was more talking about the over sized 2x12's that people use or prefer these days or use to try and get close to the sound of a 4x12...

Me if I ever wanted a traditional sized 4x12 I would not hesitate to order one of their cabs, I liked what I saw

Yeah man, really solid cabs.

I don't see Lopo mentioned as much as Avatar cabs, but they generally get good press. Although, my buddy had a Lopo 112 that he didn't care for, rattling issues with the cab (common cab issue). He didn't have it long enough for me to check it out and its not like he lost any money selling it....

loooove my lopo. its a 2x12 vertical slant, that i loaded with some sunn speakers from the eaaarly 70s. the cab is way cool. it even got to my house EARLYER then they qouted me or i expected if you can believe that.

Ive been eyeballing their 1x12 cab kits for awhile. SOunds like a fun project.

Love my 3x12.

They do great custom work.

SOLID. good service too!

Thanx for all the replies thus far fellas. I am definitely leaning toward LOPO. It seems like there's not much to like and the prices are very attractive.

Just made a thread the other day with a video of my two Lopo Convertible 2x12's in action:

Great cabs with an affordable pricetag.
Checked out the clip and was very impressed! Nice tone and chops. The cab's sounded great and while I do not know that much about Peters amps, it sounded killer! May have to take a further look at them as well. Thanx man.

Awesome!
Cheers mate.

zing. here we go!

here you go. They did everything exactly how I wanted for VERY cheap.

If I had to do it again, I would've made this taller, but oh well, it sounds good. I had them put rubber feet on the bottom and side so it could be vertical or horizontal. The footprint is tiny for the large sound in vertical mode.

That 3x12 looks fuckin' weird! Cool though.

I think I heard that Steve Vai had a 3x12 at his feet on stage as a monitor
