I lost my powercable for my VH4. Does it matter which replacement I use?

The link to the cable shows a AWG 18 cable which is quite thin for this use. I would suggest a cable at about AWG 15 which is sufficient for this kind of guitar amp. It dependends a bit on your settings and the volume you play. But for the meantime take a power cable from another amp you already have and look for better alternatives if you're experience problems.
The cable suggested by Peter (about AWG 13) is commmonly used for cookers or maybe launch pads
P.S. Size matters for cables. Plus magic drilling and some voodoo.

This cable hasn't got any specs unless that it has gold contacts, selected copper from the finest copper mines in the world and manufactured by the world master class of electronic engineers. But I am sure that it fits for your needs (keep an eye on it before, during and after gigs - they may not steal your guitar but the cable). On the other hand it is made for HiFi stuff and not guitar amps (which in my opinion don't need those specs - it's all gone if you're connecting a single coil strat and listen to the neon lamps in the club) but if you're feeling fine with it.....it's available at Amazon for 67$.
For your reassurance some technical data about those cables:
0.75 mm^2 --> AWG 18 --> current 12 A --> good for up to 1300 W at 110 V
1.5 mm^2 --> AWG 15 --> current 18 A --> up to 2000 W 110 V
2.5 mm^2 --> AWG 13 --> current 26 A --> up to 2800 W at 110 V
You see that all those cables cope with your VH4 (4 W output, power consumption maybe some 400 W).
...and now I go to the rehearsal room to rock on with my Herbert (connected via a personally hand selected and presented by the master himself 0.75 mm^2 cable)
P.S. If you think to improve sound then invest in a good instrument cable - this is where most of the interferences and noise and frequency damping actually happen. So don't think to much of the power cable in terms of sound.
