Hey guys, I just recorded this for the sake of recording with my new amps - M4 and Marsha. The rhythm tracks are the BMAN, VX and SL from Egnater and the solo track is the Marsha - HBE channel.

Minor eq on the Marsha (just a little cut on the mids - I know... Mids are cool but it's a little too much on my Marsha, sounds good though :D ).

This is the link for the clip - https://www.myspace.com/vinirosa

Cheers,

Vinicius Rosa.

Do you live in Brasil?

Really awesome sounding clips man!!! I really dug the tones. It is really amazing how much better the M4 sounds through a great power section. I thought I LOVED the sound of my M4 w/ the Randall RT2/50 and such...until I plugged in the M4 first into my Voodoo / Ceriatone 2555 and then my PT100. Both of those power sections really made the modules shine.

For me, I have really noticed I don't like the Egnater power sections that much. They are too mid boosted for me, and don't have that tone I'm personally looking for. BUT the modules sound absolutely fantastic with the right power section. Really goes to show you the power section has some of the biggest mojo changes in the signal chain right there with the speakers. You can take a great sounding preamp, go through a shitty power section...and bleh. You can take an okay preamp...go through a killer power section...and it sounds EVEN better!

I'm 100% for using the M4 w/ a killer amp. I personally think that's a better setup than the Mod50/100 for sure. My COD, VX, XTC, and Scorch modules sound FANTASTIC next to my PT100 preamp. I really can't tell that the modules aren't part of the PT100s sound honestly.

Thanks Eric!!! Yes, a great the power section is VERY important. The M4 was plugged on Marsha's return. The VX module is just AMAZING. I definitely don't like VERY strong mids in my tone. Many people claim the mids are THE tone but the best guitar tones in my opinion are: early EVH, Robben Ford, Lukather, Robbie McIntosh. None of them has a scooped tone but they don't have that nasal middy sound neither.
