Found an older M4 for sale, it has 4 single channel modules.
I dont think these older M4's can use the dual channel modules (and switch the channels on them).
Can the unit be modded to work with the dual channel modules?
What would this unit be worth in terms of a fair buying price?

Just about any mts amp can be modded to accept duallies

You can definitely get a Randall RM100 modded to accept dual modules Bruce did one for me last year - cost was $400 + shipping, but I got the RM100 for $400 as well so I got a killer deal and it's one of my favorites amps to date!

I've got two newer M4's that come out the box accepting dualies and I would guess you could get the older ones upgraded, it's mostly down to the MIDI and since Egnater have just built a run on M4's that would suggest they have stock of the parts needed.

I'd email Bruce directly to see if it can be done and the cost - his email address is in many of the messages on this forum - best of luck!

EDIT: Worth noting that the single channel amps will run the dual modules (on channel A) and that you can get the modules fitted with a switch to let you change channels - this switch is not footswitchable, so you have to set it and live with it. If you look at the right hand most side of the modules in the picture below you can see the channel select switches:

The only model that can be modified fro single to dual channel modules is the RM100/MOD100. M4 cannot.
