Hey All,

So according to the Diezel site, the correct range for EL34's and 6L6's is 60-70 mA, I just put in some 6L6GC's which are rated at 30 watts I calculated 70% dissapation to be 87.4 mA for the pair, and for the EL34's 72.8 mA is 70% on those tubes, are these save numbers to run them at?

I'm running Winged =C= version of all these tubes!

Thanks,

Dallas

87 mA per pair should be fine. With 6L6's, I personally don't like how compressed they seem over 65% MPD, but to each his own

Yea everyone has differnt sound frequencies they enjoy.

I was actually reading about someone running these tubes at 100 ma per pair for a year and they were still going!

Ive found with these particular set i have when mixed with el34 they need to be biased up to 40+ just to get them warm and full, other wise I feel they kind of get flat and lose their roundness. This may not be the case when run by them selves or in a quad but when mixing them I noticed it.

thanks!
