I love my PT15IR, but I need the grunt of the Quickrod for the new cover band I'm in....
It was a hard decision, but necessary. I don't have the luxury to bring an extra cab or use the IR out to a PA in this band....

I'll be rotating about five guitars in standard tuning and will be using a baritone in C for at least a couple tunes....

Congrats on the new gigs and digs.

So that pedal on far left is a volume pedal?

What cab/speakers will you be using? I'm sure your tone will kill as always

Very nice!

What kind of covers? What kind of ground do you have to cover in your role?

We have a female singer in her young 30's

We are doing Blondie, Gogos, Letters to Cleo. Cranberries, Missing Persons, No Doubt, Gwen Stefani, the Strokes, The Cardigans, some Foo fighters, Motels, Til Tuesday, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Muse. So everything from pristine clean to grungy overdrive....

Lehle volume. The best! Don't waste your money on anything else.

For now a Stagecraft closed back with a Scumback H75 100 watt coil, 8 ohm.

I may splurge for a mojo tone lite 2x12... but we'll see how this works at our first gig. I've played that bar before and the band area is tight.... not much room...

She's a cutie....she will likely put a few butts in the seats and sell some tickets. Bring the rawk! \m/
I was about to say the same thing. In todays hyper-sensitive climate, you never know when a comment intended as a genuine compliment is interpreted as misogynistic hate speech. She’s a cutie for sure!

Now, about that rig - is your QR from the Heyboer era? The run of QRs and Nitros with the Heyboer iron are just incredible.

Good question...

I haven't popped the back to see.... I'll check today. Regardless, it kicks....

I love my QR's

Also, your band sounds awesome. I love all of the music you mentioned, would absolutely come see a band like that if you were in my area!

The nice thing about this rig is I can use it with my Thrash cover band by just substituting the 1x12 with the Splawn 4x12

My second to the last gig set list to give you an idea:

We only play 2-3 gigs a year as H8TORADE as all of us play in other bands and various jams too....

Nice, congrats!

Check out some Sass Jordan tunes; one of my old bands covered a few years back. More straight up rock stuff.

The quickrod is a killer amp. It has that tightness and grit that’s just awesome!

Had a full rehearsal of 26 tunes tonight. The Quickrod handled it exceptionally! I never had headroom issues with either the dirty or clean tones. Even when I used the baritone, it stayed together and the rest of my band mates were pleased....

It's a killer amp.... I'm sure if if owned a PT100 I'd feel the same. But those amps are pricey. Anyway, gig in two weeks.... can't wait!
