Magically transform your old Fender amp into a Dumble!

I watched this yesterday and couldn’t help but think that guy is scamming people to get their old “inferior components” to use. Hell, I might go rip out all the mustard caps from my old Marshall’s and use the better stuff from today. If fresh solder and modern components were all the rage then a Fender RI Deluxe would sound better than the pre CBS versions.

I was waiting for him to give some filtering mod suggestions or something valuable I might be able to use. Resolder? Get real. Change out dah wyres? LOL. Replace components built during the height of American component manufacturing excellence with new foreign made junk for the sake of replacing them? Swell idea. Here's a more swell idea "if it ain't broke don't fix it". I would've swiped my amp right out of his hands and split.

So.......he basically ALLOWS you to bring him a vintage amp, and out of the kindness of his heart.........he will steal the valuable /old parts, only to re-sell them to his elitist customers, while charging you a premium bench fee?

Not a Dumble mod.......more like a Democrat mod :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I had all the caps, all of them, in my 72 Twin replaced and he checked a lot of solder joints while in there because we were chasing down some ghosts so I figured it was worth him doing while he had it. It's in a non original cab and an amp that was gigged hard. The net difference in sound before and after was zip with that killer Dumble mod.

So we've determined that it's really just "Dumble routine maintenance"?

That’s a HARD no for me. I would rather have it stock. Phil Billy is not someone I would have mod my amp, nor would I buy this guys master class.
