I had started a WTB thread for one of these a couple weeks back and no reply's so was wondering who has owned one and your thoughts? I think the company may be out of business as their website hasn't been updated in over 2 years. Clips sound really good but they seem to hardly ever come up for sale new or used so wondering what's up with them?

I thought they had released Jake E Lee's main boost the body blow a few years back and then maybe one other model? I actually thought the last time Paul Gilbert was sounding consistently good tone wise was when he was using his Fuzz Universe pedal of theirs. I agree though, thing sounds really good in the clips but the price might be a little steep for a new one (at the time)

I have just heard that he advertises stuff on his page that he doesn't even have in stock and then sends bogus tracking info.that never updates as you wait and wait for it to finally drop ship from the manufacture? Although, he does have great reviews on Reverb???

I believe there was a thread a little bit ago on here about it.

Almost nabbed one more than once but they were $350 new.
Settled w/a On Floor Audio Tube Boost Overdrive which is very similar.
Handmade by Mike Curry in Saskatoon Saskatchewan.

I remember having one some years back. The rocket fuel seem to add a certain thickness that I really wasn’t looking for so down the road it went

I just sold a rocket fuel a few weeks ago, it’s ok but wouldn’t loose sleep over finding one. The vfe dragon and standout are superior to the rocket fuel.
I’ve had all those pedals too and would agree on that, but have also sold those VFE’s too

I’d email them. The owner/builder used to post here often.

The Majic Box RF kicks butt. One of the few pedals that has stuck with me for several years... and I’ve been thru a few. Really great pedal in to Marshalls, Wizards, or similar styled amps.

I much prefer the RF over anything from VFE... which I’ve owned and sold. Dragon, IceScream, Standout... were all meh to me.

What ya like into a master volume Jmp?
With my '79 JMP2203 my favorite boost is by far my Klon centaur (it's spoiled me and sent most others packing), but since that's not practical for most (especially with what they go for now), others I've got that work well with it are my Thorpy Heavy Water, Audioarts 4100 and VFE Merman (now discontinued). I found the other VFE's to be clinical sounding and didn't really wow me, but the Merman I like. The Heavy Water gives a really good thickness and growl, but not for tightening or attack like other boosts and is noisy

I wasn't a fan of the overdrive section of the Rocket Boost pedal. But the boost section was so good that I sold the Rocket Fuel and replaced it with the Majik Box Venom Boost. That boost pedal was killer for lighting up a valve amp for leadwork.

I have one of these, pretty good pedal but didn't make the long-term cut. SD-1 based with some refining mods. I found it a tad noisy with the boost engaged but I liked that the boost doesn't bloat the sound. Good pedal and excellent price. If I could just have one OD I might use it alone.

Oh I know I mention this one a lot but again, JHS bonsai. Keely and JHS mod on board plus a few other T's circuits. No brainer. It's my main drive right now. If I need more, Koko boost clean side for a nudge. I ordered a kot clone though ( 68 pedals) so we will see how it fairs.

I was underwhelmed with the RF (going into a Marshall). Liked the Koko, original Guv'nor, and TS better
