Making the Herbert work with Ground Control Pro

I'm wondering, does anyone here have the combination of Herbert and Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro?

I recently bought both, but I have a few problems.

1: The Herbert doesn't seem to deliver enough power for the ground control, it doesnt work properly until I plug in a power supply.

2: What midi channel is the Herbert set to?

3: How do I configure both units in order to control the diezel with the GCP? I want 3 buttons to swith between the 3 channels on the amp (I do not want the EQ to be saved, just channel choice), one to switch midcut on/off (globally; this should not be changed as I change channels), and one to switch loop on/off.

Thanks for any help, and keep in mind: I am a midi newbie, I am not experienced with these things.

1.You need a 5 PIN ACTIVE MIDI cable that has all 5 pins wired to Phantom Power the GCPRO.
2. Herbert is probably set to OMNI. It clearly states how to select which channel you want in the manual. If for some reason you cannot get it to work post back here or PM me..
3. All you need to do is to make sure that both are set to the same channel so they communicate correctly.
You could then select which preamp channel of the Herb that you want then save it to whatever location you want on the GCPro by hitting the store button twice on the Herbert

Hi, thanks for your reply!

I have a 5pin midi cable, but the board isnt working properly before I plug in the adapter. It should work without it right?

I'm afraid I've already tried doing what the manual tells me to as far as choosing channel. I've now set the amp for channel#1.

I would love it if someone could walk me through setting up the GCP step by step. I've already initialized its memory. I need the first three buttons to change between the 3 channels, and one to globally switch between midcut on/off.

I am new to the whole concept of midi, but I am really interested in getting into it.

I very much appreciate any help!

The Ground Control works good with Diezel amps.

If there is no phantom power check the fuse inside on the
back board. Reset the pedal and it should work. Don´t forget
to set the Diezel to Omni.

Give Yourself a chance and check it out.

Hi Peter, thanks for taking the time.

There is some power, you see, thats whats so strange. It just doesnt seem to be enough. The pedal behaves strangely, for instance, it keeps freezing up while I edit presets. Also, when I use an adapter, the lights are stronger.
