Man this sucks! (Renegade order not so sure now)

I need to get this amp to Dominican Republic and I have to pay close to 300 dollars EXTRA to pay shipping cost and customs fees. This sucks.

I'm not so sure if I can get it now. My only hope is if the Spanish dealer gets one before Sept. 15th then I can take it with me to D.R.
 
Is there any way around that?

Can you buy from an ebay online store, and tell them to declare it as a gift or something?
 
nah, everything getting into Dominican Republic has to pay taxes.

It's a bummer since I'm gonna have to spend the extra dough, but I think Egnater's worth it. I'll do it! :D
 
Dude, fly to Puerto Rico. Have it shipped there... and then take it with you back home. Simple. And no import fees. It's much less than $300 for you to fly to PR.
 
nah man, it's too much trouble, I don't have a place to get it shipped to, then I'd have to take a Ferry (and take my car with me) etc etc.... I'm sure gonna spend more than 300 (hotel etc..)
 
Hmmm. Right. Make it a holiday then! And go on vacation for a few days. Make it worth it :)
