who makes a les paul or les paul style guitar of good/decent quality that has a solid maple neck thats unpainted ?? preferrably not epiphone, as i dont like the headstock.

I've seen some Edwards LPs with maple necks, on the other hand if you're talking cheaper LPs in the $400-500 range I've seen some Agiles with maple necks going for that new with HSC. I recently played an Agile 3100 LP and it was unbeatable for the money

the agiles play nice i just dont like the look of the lower horn on the body. i was thinking edwards made some but wasnt sure. i will check into the edwards stuff. that gibson is nice, but i dunno about spending that kinda money. im looking to spend maybe 1K-1400 tops for one or cheaper. thanks for the heads up though

yeah i remember that guitar. i kept trying to decide if i wanted it, and when i decided i did it was gone .... it is a nice guitar

Most of the 70's Norlin era Les Pauls had maple necks...

Maple "neck" or maple "fret board?" I recently purchased what I consider to be a sweet LP. It's an LP Studio "Raw Power" -- has a maple fret board and '57 Classic pickups. Also has the fatter "50's Style" neck. Dot fret markers and trapezoid at the 12th. Excellent pick-up for ~1K.

preferrably both a maple neck and maple fretboard .... if the neck was painted i could always strip the paint. i will check into those lp's

i thought about them i just really dont like the way the lower horn seems like it is cut off like that ... it is a dumb reason i know but just one of those things. i think i am gonna end up going with one of the gibson raw power LP studios ...
