I have both the old JCM2000 DSL50 and the new DSL100HR and I personally really like them both. The DSL amps in general are very appealing to me because of the high gain options. That makes them very versatile when compared to a JCM800 for example.

The old ones used to have a mixed reputation but it seems like people have been starting to appreciate them more in recent years. The old ones were made in the UK I believe? While the new ones are made in Vietnam. Both have been solid and reliable for me though.

The DSL100HR has some added functionality that is really handy. The resonance control is much more versatile than the Deep switch on the DSL50. The dual master volume controls on the 100 are also handy. I'm not a huge fan of the reverb on the 100 though. Too subtle.

Anyway, since I have both I figured it would be cool to do a little comparison. I tried to make them sound somewhat similar here but you can still hear the differences. Would love to know which one you prefer and why:

Marked to watch later. I bought a 100HR new when they first came out and think I want another DSL but looking for a 100H this time.

It's surprising how well the new amp holds up. Cool!

Overall I just barely prefer the JCM 2000 for the kinds of sounds I go for but the new DSL is no slouch at all and was actually better in one or two examples up there.
