hello as topic says..

has anyone ever tried to plug a Marshall JMP-1 thru the loop of your Herbert/VH4/Einstein?

i mean in order to get the own jmp1 preamp sound : cleans and distorted tones.

I'm interested to hear what kind of clean sounds and more to listen the extreme distortion the jmp-1 can produce with the power section of our Diezel amps.

unfortunatelly i do not have the chance to try myself one so i ask you

Peter don't kill me for this question :D i still love the amp !!

Don't know if it counts, but I tried a Triaxis through my Einstein, and sounded pretty good. If I could carry that much gear, and if I would need that much diversity I would consider doing an A/B with the Triaxis and the Einstein.

thanx  (is it possible to do the opposite too right? for example using the preamp section of the Herbert and get the power section from a separate rack power amp... like a mesa strategy 500).

btw a Marshall Jmp-1 demo on the Herbert is appreciated :) nbarts? :P

I've used a JMP-1 through a Marshall combo amp's loop and it sounded very nice.
Sorry I cannot answer your question concerning plugging one in through a Diezel loop.
I bought the Diezel so as not to have to use a lot of outboard gear.

Of course but sometimes you need something different to shake your standards

Lol
i don't have standards either :)
I just wanted to say for different tones you need very different kind of gear and mix them to get something different.
Apart that the amp alone is like anything else/ a pure bomb ;)

My band mate made this with my Herbert. But i wasn´t there. So i only have the recordings.
Due to the recordings......it´s not worth spending time on that.

Nothing special so :(
can you post sone samples?

thanx for your feedback!

I just finished setting up my rig- almost everything is working correctly now. I am running a Herbert and a Road king using a g system- With this I can use either pre amp- or both through either power section to a stereo and parallel effected result. It was a serious bitch to get everything working right (and I'm still not fully there) BUT WOW. The results are amazing- In all honestly my boogie never sounded so good- and the Herbert also benefits (though not as much ) by the addition of more tone added to it's already awesome tone. So as for adding a pre amp in on the loop- TRY IT worst case you blow a fuse or it sounds bad- best case you stumble on to a tonal monster like I did!
With both amps channel switching, and pre amp selection variety I am getting My tonal pallet is amazing, and super controllable- With both amps on channel 3 with an octaver dropped and some reverb and delay it does sound like GOD or possibly The DEVIL himself talking. The sound is amazingly full and rivals any live rig setup I have heard. I still have to dial in my pre sets but even on a lot of the stock ones I'm getting amazing cleans, good barely breaking, and last and most important and extreme vulgar display of power. The definition while heavily overdriven has improved- so it's mean as can be but still hear every note. I had a friend over helping me set it all and by the time he was leaving he was adding the costs to build himself a similar rig- I guess he liked the outcome too. Though I am primarily using the Deizel pre amp as the driver- in a lot of cases (more on the clean end) it sounds amazing to use both pre amps.
So to sum it up- trying it is well worth the effort if you get any sound you like!!!!

thanx :)
you are super happy i notice :) you've enlarged your tonal possibilities

for the preamp.. i read somewhere on the manual it was possible to do it, so i was asking if someone already tried it ;)

now please post some demo of your resul  !!!

I tried my Triaxis thru by Herbie (since sold the Tri though). Try this: run the guitar through a proper guitar splitter (to stop hum) then run one half into the preamp of your choice and the other into the herbie input. Plug the preamp into the switchable return. Any patches you want to use the external preamp for save with the switchable loop on. Connect all your midi footpedal leads to the preamp and herbie. Voila! Now you can happily switch between external and herbie patches all via MIDI using the Herbie as power amp. Best of all worlds! (except I sold my preamp because the herbie was fine by itself, and it was another expensive heavy thing to carry).

And what about the Ada Mp1 ?
Stock with no 1,2,3 or other mods.
