Marshall Modified

We've been talking about this for days, you are late to the party as there are a few threads already up! Not really a Friedman though but very simple mods. Vids from NAMM are slow this year. I am not seeing very much up.

I'm always late lol

I listened to the Henning Pauly demo.

It has about half the gain of a dirty shirley, and doesn't sound very good in his demo

Ill wait for someone better to reserve judgement but it doesn't look too hot

Nothing really sounds that great in that dork's videos though. With all his gear and his space, I don't know how he gets such terrible results.

are the transformers still the crap from asia? or they using proper iron...

Yeah that’s what I’m wondering also. The new Marshals being made recently have cheap transformers in them. Such as the recent 2203x amps, the transformers were changed and the price on them dropped considerably. Unfortunately from what I have heard they do not sound as good as the previous offerings, but I’ve never compared them myself.

isn't the plate voltage really low on the 2203x amps now? Like 420 volts?

Marshall should have sent the amps to Euge to make demo vids to release at NAMM. Better yet, hire Euge to demo the amps at NAMM.

IMO

I read one of the YT comments on the Adertons video that said
"Cool, Marshall just released a Peavey VTM 40th anniversary with less features". Lol!!
