Hi guys

Always been a big Muse fan and they introduced me to the Diezel vh4 back in 2003 when Matt started using them recording Absolution.

Love the tone here, to me it sounds massive for one guitar.

Does anyone know if it was El34s in those models or what he uses in terms of valves/settings etc

I have decided to bite the bullet and go for a Diezel Vh2 head with a Mills Acoustic cab 4x12 vc30.

Going for a similar tone, so just wondered out of curiosity!

Thanks

Hard to say... I don't know too many cats who opt for 6L6s in their Vs, but it may just be.

Moreover though - that tone?? That tone is coming from some very hot-rodded guitars and I can't imagine what kinda of lengthy FX chain. He's got the whole gamut there from specialized pups/sustainers to extra rigging (likely onboard preamps) on his fiddles; and several road racks of what I am sure are compressors, FX, etc.

Truly hard to say. There is a shimmer in there which is indicative of a 6L6, but 77s can get that too.

The FX chain is where the work is being done to truly personalize his tone.

Peace

Man, Chris Wolstenholme (bassist) sure sounds massive in that clip.
