Maxon SD-9, anyone using one

I used to have an Ibanez SD-9 and I liked that with the fender Hot Rod Deville 212 I used to have.

I am looking for a distortion pedal for my Fender Bandmaster reverb. I am borrowing a Rat2 right now, its okay, but not really what I am looking for. I am not looking for a metal sound from the fender, just a good solid distortion for a few songs.

So anyone using the maxon version of the SD-9
 
I am looking at an Analog Man Modded SD-9. No one is ussing one of these, either stock or modded?
