anyone played around with one of these?

i'm looking for a 1U tube power amp, but man... wheres that egnater when you need one!

I'm curious about the Mesa 20/20 too. I've been thinking of picking one up so that I can have a lightweight 4u rack with either my M4 or IE-4 preamps. In the absence of the 1U Egnater, there is really nothing else out there besides the Mesa that is reliable. I've heard the Marshall EL-84 sounds really good but had major heat/reliability issues.

I will say that if you don't mind a 2U power amp, the Peavey Classic 50/50 is a great bargain and not as heavy as most 2U power amps. I have one lying around the house that I hadn't used in years, but I threw it in a 4U rack with my M4 to take to rehearsal recently and I'm really digging the M4/Peavey combo...probably even more than the M4/Randall RT2/50 combo. The Peavey uses EL-84's and is probably half the weight of the Randall. The Peavey really sounds great with the Vox and T/D modules. For country and classic rock, I probably prefer the Peavey over the Randall. The Randall has much more clean headroom though and is more transparent overall.

What are Mesa 20/20's going for?

I have one I would sell.
