Casting aside availability and collectability, which would you go for? I finally got a chance to play a 2-channel Dual Recto, and I'm looking to grab one for my next amp. It blew my old 3-channel out of the water, as I thought it might. The only question is...well, look at the poll!

I'd love a Rackmount Recto for convenience, but i was curious what you all thought.

I have tried every recto under the sun except the Roadster. I owned 3 rectos (2 channel triple, 3 channel dual, and a Rackmount) and the rackmount is without a doubt the best of the bunch! It's tighter, warmer, and just flat out sounds better!

I will probably end up going with the rackmount. Even though they are "rare" there doesn't seem to be a shortage of them. I just wanted to see what some of you thought. Thanks!

I have a 92 Racktifier and prior to that, I had a 94 Tremoverb head. They're are KILLER amps and I love em both but IMO the Racktifier just has a bit "more" to it. The distortion tones are just punchier and thicker while also sounding GREAT at low volume levels (pretty much no recto buzz/fuzz unless you run the presence VERY high). The clean on the Tremoverb is MUCH nicer though :)

If i had it to do again, I'd go with the Racktifier. But, I am all strung out on stereo now...
