This is probably the cleanest loop modded IIB you will find. Full service and mod performed by Mike Bendinelli 12/2022. All caps replaced, including upgraded USA Sprague atom 30 mf/500v. All new knobs. EQ sliders serviced/upgraded. New headshell by Scott Stofik. Preamp tubes are a mix of Mesa and Sovtek, power tubes are Svetlana 6l6GC. Original reverb tank and fan work great (this was converted from a combo). All Mesa paperwork available on request.
This HRG absolutely roars. It's the perfect specimen of vintage Mark meets modern tones. The RP-9C board denotes a late model with the tightest low end and response. The loop mod needs no introduction and turns this into a real face melter. The EQ sliders - they are a bit touchy and while in motion in a couple spots will "bark" with some tone bleed, but once set function perfectly. The post effects level knob on the back is marked on 8 for unity gain per Mike, but you can back this off for a greater volume sweep on the front. Overall this has been a very rewarding restoration project that is ready for a new owner. Thanks for looking!
