Mesa Boogie Mark IV Effect loop

Last week I bought a used Mark IV. It is a medium head. Every thing looks like the new production medium head except I don't have the effect loop satellite out. Instead it has Normal loop and switchable loop. So I connected G-Major to Normal Loop and My RC-2 loop station to the switchable loop, assuming that normal loop always be in and I can add the RC-2 when ever I want. But it did not work that way. It seems I can use only one loop at a time.
Is it a problem with my unit or is it designed that way. (I am not sure because initially reverb did not work but after changing reverb tube it started working)
I browsed thru the manual in boogie site but it is for the newer version with satellite out.
I really appreciate if some one can explanation on how these two effect loops suppose to work.
Thanks

You have the "A" version. Here's the manual for yours: http://www.mydocsonline.com/pub/palmOne.Systems.Engineering/MarkIVa_Manual.zip

That's what you call a help. I really needed this manual.
Thanks a lot man.

I left a voice message on Mesa customer support too.
Last time they were very supportive. But today they seems to be busy.
