I’ve decided to sell my Mess Boogie Mark IVa amp. The amp comes in an older Mark series head shell and does not come with the foot switch (I’ve never had it and honestly wouldn’t even use it). The head shell isn’t in the best condition and has scuffs and cuts, but is solid. The amp works perfectly, but I had spoken with Mike B and planned on sending it to Mesa Boogie for a full service before the corona this happened...after all the amp is close to 30 years old. Now I figured was a good time to sell it since I haven’t been using it. All tubes have been tested and are good. I’ll likely throw in some more Boogie power tubes with it since I have so many.
$old shipped in the USA (not including HI and AK). PM me with any questions.
If I get a buyer tomorrow, I will ship the amp Monday since I will be using Fedex and I doubt I will get to the shipping hub in time for the last shipment tomorrow (and I don’t want to drop it off since it will sit in their possession all weekend). I know how to box and ship an amp, it literally takes me hours to do it correctly.
I know how you feel. I was trying to get one for over a month with cash burning a hole in my pocket. Any other time there would be 4-5 Mark IV heads on reverb or gc. As soon as I was ready I couldn't find one. I ended up getting a combo that I'm converting to a head which is going to end up costing a ton. But its worth it.
Yep. Mark IVs are cool amps. But no, they don't have the IIC+ circuit at all. Neither do IIIs, Quads, or any other Mesa product including the JP.
Sorry.
Someone got a smoking deal here though, with this IV...my favorite Mark after the IIC+.
I am looking for a second Mark IV short head (something rackable), and I am trying to compare prices and condition.
I even considered getting a combo then racking the amp.
What was the final selling price for this one? It sounds like it was pretty low/fair so hopefully you don't mind providing the information for this one, and thanks.
Got the amp today. TODAY. Sent PP on Friday and I’m sitting here playing it now. Packed for the end of times, with an extra quad of 415s...I mean god damn. Best seller right here. Thanks Dave
