Hi Everyone,
I don't know why Mesa does not publish it in there website. May be they allow dealers to jack up the prices at their will. Any way I got a cab and it came with some documents and this list also was there.

I hope I am not violating any lows here.

Most dealers have stacks of them to give out to anyone who wants one. When I was a Boogie dealer I had them in the same area as the amps so anyone could grab one. Mesa sets all retail prices and dealers are not allowed to discount or jack up any prices unless you want your dealership yanked. Btw, most dealers make the least amount of money on M/B than just about any other line. :)

Back in the day when I bought my Mesa half stack I shopped around all over the place and I was told that same thing about Mesa not discounting so stuff has to be sold at retail. Some places even tried to sell be it above retail. I found someone who gave me a screaming deal on one though. He moves a lot of stuff so that must've had something to do with it.

How come this post got moved !!.
Don't tell me it is unrelated in Effect forum. If Amp forum people can talk every other junk so how come it is not allowed in Effect forum. Please move this back to where it posted initially.

Has anyone else heard about the FTC investigation into manufacturers and retailers? Basically, if you haven't heard, the FTC is saying that manufacturers are telling retailers that they are not allowed to sell their products for less than $XX.XX, which was apparently illegal based on a supreme court ruling in 1890. Hence, the MAP (minimum advertised priced). It's a rather interesting article I read. You might be able to find it on the website for FOH magazine. http://www.fohonline.com Do a search for FTC.

i read this recently too, that MSRP could go away soon because its purpose is no longer.

as for boogie pricelists, they are like how oakley was back in the day, everyone sells it for the exact same price, no exception. i'd run my business like that, no BS, buy based on the dealer you like, not the one that cheats others by $5.

also, in the past, people that have pitched me mesa gear have said their receipts always have to show full rate for the mesa items themselves, but if you buy other things along with mesa gear, they can visually discount that further to compensate for a general discount, make sense? i don't recall doing this myself, just got my mesa crap and that's all i needed.

I wish I could afford MESA stuff. Anyone want to donate a dual rectifier to my band?

Just thought I'd ask... :D

I hate that Crate.
