There is a thread over on HC that I would like to post in but I'm teh banned.

Someone is talking about the IIC+ being hard to find and price around 3K

I know nothing about them, but I do know where a great condition IIC+ head is for $1059. I'm almost sure that was the price...........I saw it today.

Should I leave right now, go buy it and try to re-sell it ???

plus or minus of 3 grand is what i'm thinking?

jump on it.

It was the short head with EQ. I just called and the place is closed. I'm going there after work tomorrow. I'm pretty excited about this

I looked over at it and turned up the price tag. I thought about plugging it up and trying it out. But I have never liked Mesas (Road King, Single Recto, F-30). Besides I wasn't amp shopping anyway. My Splawn will be here Monday.

I'll try and post back tomorrow but I have to rush to a Halloween party as soon as I get home.

If that is a mark IIC+ jump on it. Assuming its a mark II and not a III, than you should e-mail mesa the serial when you get it to confirm it is a IIC+ and not a IIC that someone put a + above the power cord.

Not to be a dick but if you don't know much about the IIC+ then how do you know for certain that it is a IIC+? A lot of amps that people claim are IIC+ heads turn out to be IIB's. What's the serial # ?

You can confirm the SN with info from here.

The effects loop method is the best way to check it.

I just read all your responses.

Problem is that I'm leaving for work at 5am :aww:
By the time they open, I will be in a boat and more than likely out of cell range. Hopefully, I will have coverage, but alot of places I work at do not. I should be home around 3pm and I plan on going straight there.

The reason I said IIC+ is because that is what was on the tag. There could be a mistake on my part about the price. Like I said, I wasn't amp shopping at the time and I know nothing about the Mark Series Mesas. But I do know that I wouldn't have even considered plugging into it if it was above say $1500. And I could have sworn it said $1059.

I never even thought twice about it until I read that thread over on HC.

It is at a pawn shop by the way.

I'm off to bed, but I'll try to give an update tomorrow afternoon.

Did you get it? If you chage your mind , let one of us get. Shit Iwell send for it now at that price.

Most times those great deals are smoke in the wind but not always. I've been on many wild goose chases but also scored some very sweet deals. My 68 martin was bought for $375 just a few years back and it almost seemed to good to be true. But the chase can be fun. My old 59 was only $42 at an estate auction and the tubes were the origionals. Let us know how you made out.
