Finally caved and ended up with another Rev G Recto once again. Love it.

Clip 1: the actual Recto into an OS Recto cab, SM57. OD 808 in front.

Clip 2: Cortex capture of the amp and OD808, then amplified into a Marshall 1960AV (my typical playing rig) and recorded with an SM57.

Been looking for one of those Marshall 1960 Classic cabs! How do you like it?
Sounds good. I'm more of a V30 fan (tighter, more aggressive sounding speaker to me), so I tend to use the 1960AV over the AC.

I had a newer AX cab that sounded nice, but was a bit more "papery"(?) or stiff compared to the AC. Not sure if it's a speaker difference or a break-in difference (or both).

Welcome (back) to the club.
HNREVGD
Consider the Pre 500 C mod.
Totally worth it IMO

Is your capture on the cloud?

Another MESA guy with great tone plus very plush looking silvery-grey carpeting. If it's actually a sand-tan it still has a silvery cast to it in the light. My mind is getting blown cause me and @Techdeth have discussed this unlikely combo at length and multiple MESA guys are posting here and all but one or two have lush rugs beneath their MESA.
