anyone know where I can get a metal face plate for my uber?

They don't make them any more, so your best bet would be to see if someone will swap headshells with you.

I don't think you can just add a metal grill. Different head shell as well.

They changed the headshell and stopped making the metal grill. It has to be an older version headshell to fit as well.

Uber/Twin Jet and 101B headshells are the same. Metal Grill can be swapped in and out no problem.
The Headshells that come with the metal grill will have a little extra tolex on the front. A little black duct tape on the standard headshell will take care of that. I've swapped a few.

Yeah, I just sold my metal grill 101b because I have a 20th now; and while the 20th is a great-looking, very classy amp - I really miss the metal small box. I wish I could score a metal grill uber/101b headshell and I'd throw the 20th in it.

yeah,..emailed bogner,.."no longer available"..anyone interested in 1...or,....3 of these!!!!

if i had one,..i could duplicate it exactly,..i'm a HVAC TECH, the sheet metal shop has a $250,000 computerized plasma cutter,..ya stick what ever ya want on the rack..the computer makes a 3-d image of it,..then will copy them exactly,..including the vent holes,...the entire process would take 15 minutes,..and it takes a 4x8 sheet of metal (whatever the gauge is) and calculates the cutting process to make the most use of every square in of metal!.....i know you can buy the bogner label...so,..if it dont say bogner,..i should be alright legaly!! right?

I'm interested.

I'm pretty sure it is black anodized aluminum (anodized after cutting). What makes it so expensive for Bogner is that it isn't a stamped/flat shape but has the beading 3d pattern. 8 bead lines run horizontally as seen here:

hmmmmm,...it looks easy enough,..the wouldn't be aluminum...wish i had one to copy! to any one that has one,...is there a physical "bump" on the back side of the face plate,..or is it just a channel?

price would be minimal less than $50...

I'm sure someone on here would lend it to you... I would if I had one.

After examining closely it appears to be extruded aluminum which is then stamped with the trapezoid holes & then anodized black (and tapped for mounting holes/nameplate).

Did you manage to make a copy of this? If so, are any for sale, and how much?

I didn't. The sales manager for Bogner is on the board though.
