anyone have opinions on these.i think they had their ups and downs.bought and sold.but the man originally behind the brand is firing on all cylinders now.

have you played/owned any MK guitars?

I tried one in a store once. A Patriot? model....anyway, it was average i'd say for lower priced guitars. I remember liking an Epiphone Prophecy lp better though for similar price.

i have played a bunch of them for the price point they are great guitars. Check out the patriot magnum it has a much thinner neck and is 24 fret

Never heard of em'. Seems like there is a new "luthier" popping up building guitars every other week...

I've had a Valor Q for several years, was my main guitar for my band in college. I got it for stupid cheap when a local store went out of business. Very good quality for the money. Even the pickups aren't half bad, I never changed them out.

I have a patriot.. I like it alright with pup swap. Doesn't have the best sustain and there was a dead spot on the 5th fret and a bit of buzz on the B string but for the 450$ I paid for it, it feels good and the electronics did not crap out on me. Fixed the dead spot with a tweak of the truss rod and just need to fix the string buzz and it is a player. I like mine but there are equally good guitars in the price range.

I think there are better guitars for the price. I have played a few here and there, not terrible by any means, nor excellent. I personally wouldn't buy one, but if it works for you, then get one. When there are MIJ Jacksons used all over with a good buy @ $200-300, and I personally feel Agile edges them out too. If you are looking for an S or T shaped guitar, you can get new G&L's for the same price, better quality.

Veneer top or flame maple. I guarantee there is a price difference. These made over seas as well? More price difference. I dont get how an over seas made guitar is a good deal. It's cheaper parts , cheaper labor, less attention to detail period. A decent over seas build is close to if not 1k. That's about 2/3 of the way to a us made or mij. Lots of great guitars in that price range. Nothing against anything made in another country/over seas. Everything at Walmart is made overseas and that's where America shops! Michael Kelly guitars are nice looking. I played one, put it back down and hadnt considered playing another one. Just not happening for me. I've got a Gj2 that's well made plays well and the parts are.... yes ,cheap/overseas. So it gets very little play if any. Reverend are made overseas. And there good , as well as Schecter, Ephiphone ,Dean...etc.. so as someone mentioned, popping up every other second.
