Midi 5 to 7 pin swap?

Also, I noticed that there are 2 points on the MIDI section that are open - Can I convert it to a 7 pin to power a footswitch? Please advise

If You build in a 7 pin midi jack,
in 6 and 1, 7 and 3 has to be connected.

Sure - I can replace the MIDI jack - not a big deal
Do you have a wiring picture or diagram for that Peter?

7(on the board) and 3 (on the MIDI pin)
