I finally dug down deep in my pockets and ordered the CCV, which will be made in the second run. I contacted Brad via email and asked him about a footswitch with the CCV and he told me that it is MIDI switchable. Since I do not have a MIDI controller, I wanted to know what is a good one for a decent price. I do not need anything over the top though.

Tough to say what will work best with the CCV, as I don't yet know exactly how the midi switching (channels and fx loop) will work on the amp.... I'm in the first run, so I'd recommend bumping your question once the first run has shipped and more guys understand the functionality. Hold off for the time being on making a purchase. Just my $0.02.

Fwiw i am planning on using a rocktron midi mate
The rocktron all access, voodoo ground control pro, and fractals mfc101 are also very good for more money. Any midi controller should work but we will hopefully know for soon very soon.

What is actually the MIDI going to switch in this amp?

Midi will switch the amp channels from clean to channel two to solo boost. Might also switch on/off the fx loop.
That's probably about all it could do

I have a Midimate as well. I suppose I could use it, but it will take up a lot of real estate on my pedal board. Do you think a Randall RF3 or RF4 switch would work? Thanks.

Hey Drew:

I see you have followed through on diversifying your rig from modular! Welcome to the CCV camp!

I asked Brad a similar question awhile back. Namely, could I use my Egnater MOD50's 4-button "midi" footswitch with the CCV (since it is already integrated within my gigging pedalboard). He said it should work fine. Again, there's no telling for sure at this point whether or not I will be able to access all midi functionality using such a simple midi footswitch, as we don't know how the CCV's midi switching and programming will work. However, I too have a Midi Mate as a backup if the Egnater MOD50's switch is unable to access all of the CCV's midi functionality.

Diversifying for sure, thanks for noticing. :D I have done a little moving out of MTS, but still have quite a nice rig on that side as well. Just moving necessary gear to fund certain purchases. I'm hoping my 4 button switch will work, that would be ideal. Takes up a lot less space than a midimate, I wouldn't even attempt to put that on my pedal board. Thanks for the response.

Thanks everyone. I will hold off until I hear about the CCVs functionality from the 1st run users!!!
