depends:

do you need CC commands?

Does the Diezel power through a 5 or 7 pin phantom power?

Would you go used?

etc.

I'm using an ADA MPC which is cheap, metal, and small for my pedal board.

what's a good affordable unit?
I have two midibuddies and I love them. When I used it with my Egnater Mod50 it ran phantom power to the unit. :thumbsup:

CC can stand for control change or continuous control. It means "adjusting parameters in real time on the preset somewhere without changing the program #."

PC = program change.

Program change is the most basic, and it's what I use exclusively.

program change = you're in bank 1, and you hit switch 5, it sends program info 5 to anything on the correct receiving channel in the midi chain.

It's sorta complicated unless you're just using one device and leaving the midi channel on "omni".

+1 on the ADA MPC. Great unit. While I don't use a rack at the moment, I refuse to get rid of mine, because it's such a great controller.

I love the ADA MC-1 as all the switches are in one easy row!
I have two and will NEVER sell them. I used them with the VH4 I owned and the phantom powered the ADA perfectly!
7 pin din cable is all that's needed. Done!
