Hey guys,

I'm running a GCP-GCX set-up w/ my VH4, I can't get the channels to store right for channel switching. I finally got the GCX and Eventide talking so the presets in the Eventide are transposing and switching with patches, but not the VH4's channels...

I have it in Omni-mode currently. The MIDI-chain is as follows: Ground Control -> GCX -> Eventide TimeFactor -> VH4.

When I was just using the VH4 and Ground Control without anything else, I could just select the foot-switch on the Ground Control I wanted to save something to, then hit the channel I wanted on the VH4 and, then hit store like normal.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, probably a lot, this is my first time diving into MIDI this far.

But none the less I got all 4 channels set to my likings tonight (not that the VH4 can be set to sound bad haha) So that's a plus!

Thanks in advance guys

You will have to identify the amp in your Ground Controller and give it a channel.

I had it set as Device 1 at one point and have it's channel as 1 do I need to go into the Diezel and make it Single Channel Mode (Ch1)?

You can leave the amp on Omni. Just set up the GC so it recognizes all devices being controlled as different device numbers. The GCX is automatically recognized. The VH4 and Eventide will need to be assigned a number. It will make sense. Been a while since I have used mine.

Yeah I have them set up like this, the Diezel is 01 and the Eventide is 02

Try setting the amp in single channel mode. You also might consider coming from the GCX to the amp, then thru the amp to the Eventide. The logic controller inside the Eventide may not sport enough DC voltage for passing signals through to the amp.

Yeah I'm gonna try putting the amp in the front of the eventide, me and duolos were talking and we're wondering if something in the eventide is blocking signal to and from the diezel.
