1/2 day travel to get this on a trade.
87 or 88 Japan Charvel 1C.
Had some issues. Someone had hard wired the bridge pup to the tone pot & bypassed the single coils LOL.
I was able to rewire correctly.
Headstock crack repair over a tuner. Is holding fine.
Got a real janky Metallica /Lynch clean tone.
Can get quite narly on dirt channel.
38 yr old maple FB has a real sweet tone.

I like the Mexi Pro Mods but my first Charvel was a 3DR. Im a sucker for Japan Charvels.

Man, my 1st 'real' guitar was a Charvel 1A with the tweed case.

Bought it brand new in '86 or '87. Had to have a the trem replaced with a Floyd Rose as the crappy pot metal bridge started to wear out from too much abuse- I wanted to be Vai at the time. Sadly, that never happened.

Ended up selling it to Lay's in Akron about 20 years ago.
