There's a YouTube clip of Mike Landau recording for some soppy Spanish or Latin American song, from about 9 years ago (2001). His using a distorted lead tone for the chorus of the song. The guitar goes into a small pedalboard, then the amp & cab, then the microphone that is on the cab, into his big studio fridge-rack with the Dyno-My-Piano tri-stereo chorus and delays etc, then into the mixing desk. You can hear some effects processing on the signal but as with Landau he does it rather tastefully, unlike the 80s stuff from before and his contemporaries (funnily enough, all with the same gear).
Anyway, it appears to be a brown-coloured amp sitting behind him. Although it's hard to see, it doesn't look like a Marshall.
Throughout the clip it sounds like someone else in a heavy German accent says the word 'Bogner'.
You can find the clip on YouTube, but later today when I get home I'll try to post it for reference.
Does anyone know if it was indeed a Bogner amp that he used? Which one?
