I'm curious about the MiniMix 2 - I am using a Bogner XTC 101B amp with a TC Electronic G Major in the loop. The processor works best when the loop in run in Series but I'm certain I hear differences (for the worse) in the tone as the signal travels A/D and D/A. The loop CAN be switched to parallel and it does sound better but again, I loose a lot of the features in the processor and the only useable effects are delay and reverb.
I'm trying to keep things simple (I don't want a bunch of pedals) and it looks like the MM2 will help maintain the integrity of my tone and solve my problem. I also like that the MM2 can be controlled to mute the dry signal for effects that works best in pure series operation. So, I'm wondering:
* Does anyone have experience with this unit using a multiprocessor and series loop?
* Do you have to mute the dry signal in your processor to avoid phase issues when using the MM2 in parallel mode? (My concern is that if you DO have to mute the dry signal then being able to switch the MM2 between parallel and series operation is useless. The processor can't be used in series operation when the processor's dry signal is muted/killed.)
Maybe I'm crazy here. TC insists that when set properly, the A/D convertors do NOT impact the sound but I know I hear it but is the impact enough to add an MM2 to my setup? That's what I'm wondering.
Thanks.
