I'm working on putting together a demo track or two for a company that will be named once the mixes are finalized (and it's not AMT!). For the first clip, I'm using one of my The Mammon Machine (TMM) songs that I've used for quite a number of tone tests so far, and for the other I'll be creating something completely new.

This is the TMM song clip:

(side note - does anyone know how to get the soundcloud widget to work?)

I'm looking for feedback on the mix, as this is one of the first times in a long time that my goal has actually been to create something more polished and complete, rather than just a rough test of an amp's tone in a mix.

What do you think? As I'm listening back to it with fresh ears, I think:
- the volume of the various instruments could be more balanced
- the kick could be a little fuller with a little less click
- the bass (guitar) could be fattened up a little
- the rhythm guitars could be a little more refined (less wide / open)

Choir? No choir? I originally had some PotO-style grand pipe organs in there, but it was a little too much

I'll try to have the 2nd track up in the next day or two. It will include (gasp!) clean guitars(!).

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I have checked the demo of mix test. There are some more bass of guitar. I recommend you to decrease it a little bit. On the other hand the demo is awesome. You must listen it with fresh ears for making edit this clip.

Thanks for the feedback! I was starting to think the same thing. I was finally able to do my typical 'listen to it in the car' test, and noticed that:
- The bass is a little loud in the mix
- The kick drum could use more fullness
- The snare needs to be more present in the mix
