I'm kind of excited about doing this. My local store called and said my 2 Heritage G12m speakeres have arrived.

Like the titile says...I'm going to mix 2 Celestion Heritage G12M with 2 of the Greenbacks that are in my 1960 bx cab. I found qualities in both speakers that I like very much and thought that mixing them up would be a great idea.

Anybody else try this combination in a cab or combo? I would love to hear some thoughts or experiences.

-- FTR my impressions of the Heritage G12M is that they were darker, slightly scooped sounding and tighter in the bottom that my normal Greenbacks.
The normal ones that are in my cab now; Engish made, are more "airy" (which I like) and crisp sounding.

Do they break up similar, or do the Heritages need a bit more pushing to breakup?

...from what I remember the Heritage needed more to break up. They're also rated at 25W; just lincorrectly labled 20W by Celestion like the "originals".

The Heritage seemed alot 'thicker/chunkier'' sounding when I tried them in the EVH cab for about 2 weeks. IYou could 'push' them more...
